Our Vision

Flowers make everyone happy.  Who wouldn’t want to give a bunch of happy to a loved one?

You probably have a favourite flower, maybe from your childhood, your wedding, your parents’ or grandparents’ garden, maybe it’s the scent you remember most, perhaps you have a different favourite each month?

Our vision is to bring you the best of those vintage, heritage varieties, with their glorious colours and blooms, some with incredible scents, for you to enjoy at home. By opening for sales on the weekend, you can take away that Friday (or Saturday) feeling in a bunch, or share the love and surprise someone. Either way, our aim is to provide you with beautiful, healthy flowers, grown and packaged in a sustainable way.

We don’t use pesticides and harmful chemicals on our land, and strive to work in harmony with our environment and the seasons. You won’t find flowers air freighted from other countries here, grown by underpaid workers in gruelling environments.

Blooming Vintage is a small, family owned, locally based enterprise, and we think its important to stay that way, as part of the rich farming heritage of Durham Region and Ontario. We hope you feel the same way too, the local flower movement is growing all across Canada, we are proud to support the cause, and delighted to realise our vision with you.
